Friends of Legal School Society (FOLSS)

The Legal School Parent Council and the Friends of Legal School Society have formed a partnership to bring you updates, advertise upcoming fundraisers and entertain you with jokes, tips, boredom-buster activities and whatever else we feel the need to share on this joint Facebook Page

The Parent Council helps to create an environment where all parents know that their views matter, and where they feel confident and comfortable putting them forward. They work on behalf of all parents to discuss educational matters that are of importance to all.

Friends of Legal School Society (FOLSS) is a non-profit society that has been running for over 20 years in the community of Legal, Alberta. FOLSS is in charge of fundraising for Legal School with the hopes that we can save up for big purchases that will benefit the students and give the families something to look forward to.

All the money that is raised from our fundraisers goes back into Legal School. In the past, examples of things we have purchased include DJ lights, upgraded 2 water fountains, new ovens for the kitchen, paying a portion of the Christmas lunch so it can remain affordable for all kids, a playground that cost over $100K (plus the other playgrounds before that), books for the library, and grade 9 grad gifts.

FOLSS also runs the monthly hot lunch program at Legal School by coordinating volunteers and bringing affordable and healthy lunch options to students.

Both the Parent Council and FOLSS are continuously looking for parents who would like to volunteer their time with us. If you are interested, please reach out or attend one of our meetings (dates will be posted on our Facebook page).
